Henriette Flach Quartet
The Henriette Flach Quartet is a contemporary folk ensemble led by Danish multi-instrumentalist and composer Henriette Flach. Performing Flach’s compositions, the quartet explores a modern take on Nordic folk, combining original melodies with improvisation and contemporary expression.
At the heart of the music lies a strong sense of interplay. The musicians’ individual playing styles color the sound, creating textures and interactions that keep the music alive. The duo released in September 2024 their debut album Out of My Hands — an album that, through close interplay, takes the listener through streets of joy, longing, hope, gravity, lightness, night skies, and sunbeams.

Tailcoat
Tailcoat is a Swedish-Danish ensemble that blends Nordic music traditions with modern and global influences, creating their own univers with instrumental compositions. The band’s unique instrumentation includes the Swedish nyckelharpa, Norwegian Hardanger fiddle, cittern, electric bass, and a diverse array of percussion. This combination results in an innovative and dynamic style that bridges past and present.
Formed by a group of long-time friends and collaborators, Tailcoat is known for telling stories through instrumental compositions, evoking both danceable energy and deep emotions. Their music has been described as both intricate and accessible, appealing to listeners across genres.
Penny Pascal
Penny Pascal is a Scandinavian folk quartet known for its dynamic, exploratory sound. The band features two fiddles, cittern, and bass. Their debut album, Grand Voyager (2019), was recorded in a single day and spans styles from heavy, metal-inspired tracks to delicate, chamber-like passages—without any overdubs—showcasing their commitment to raw, live energy and acoustic authenticity. The album was also captured in a 40-minute, one-take video recorded the same day.
In 2022, they released An Evening in Warsaw, a live recording from a concert they played at the Warsaw Philharmonic. Penny Pascal’s music is celebrated for its joy, liveliness, and vibrant energy, offering a fresh perspective on Scandinavian folk traditions.
